What is Communication?

There are a couple of definitions in The Concise Oxford Dictionary. The one most appropriate to this section is:

  • Communication - Noun. (In pl.) Science and practice of transmitting information
Communication (General) focuses on how people use messages to generate meanings within and across various contexts, cultures, channels, and media in a general sense or in more detail where specific types of communication are not covered by any other section.

We will be adding a number of articles over the coming months.

In the meantime we are offering you the opportunity to search our database for any relevant articles on Communication (General).

All you need to do is to click on the Start Search button. There is no need to enter any text! However you can refine your search by adding a word or short phrase in the text box first. It is your choice.
